The Mary N. Smith Alumni Association was recently awarded a pre-planning grant by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) to identify the needs of the community for the eventual renovation and transformation of the Mary N. Smith Cultural Enrichment Center (MNSCEC) into an asset that will benefit the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We are seeking input from the community to assist in identifying the most prevalent needs and potential uses for the building and the open space surrounding to best serve the region.
