This is an important role in carrying out data collection for an impactful project in Penang, by Penang Institute and UNICEF. It is also an excellent opportunity to receive training for data collection best practices, and gain hands-on experience in a field setting.

The Enumerator will work closely with the research staff and a coordinator to perform a variety of tasks.

TASKS:
- Conduct telephone surveys with research participants.
- Transmit data collected to the Coordinator on a daily basis.
- Adhere to all Penang Institute survey and data protocols, such as handling data with confidentiality and collecting quality data.
- Perform other duties related to the project that may be assigned to him/her.
- Maintain good relations with Penang Institute, its employees, partner organisations and project participants.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Have secondary qualifications or above (SPM/ Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree and above).
- Must own a phone/ tablet (DON'T need to have own data). Stable internet connection is needed only when submitting the form.
- Must have the ability to use electronic devices competently (i.e. keying in data accurately on a laptop/ tablet).
- Must be familiar with inputting data through electronic devices, or willing to learn.
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English and Malay. Mandarin and other local languages are ideal, but not required.
- Ability or experience using SurveyCTO is an advantage.

COMMITMENT PERIOD AND WORK HOURS:
- Training provided: 3-hour session to be held using Google Meet. Date to be confirmed, estimated first week of February 2023.
- The survey is estimated to last 3 - 4 weeks.
- The Enumerator is expected to conduct a minimum of 10 telephone surveys per week. 
Time arrangements are flexible, and depend on the preference of the Enumerator and respondents.
     * Estimated commitment dates: 8 February - 15 March 2023 (the contract will be auto-renewed every 14 days, unless terminated from the Enumerator)
- Work hours: estimated 6 - 8 hours per day. 

RENUMERATION:
- RM25 per completed survey.
- The Enumerator receives payment for each completed survey approved by Research Team Leader.
- Payment is made every 2 weeks.
