Membership
Membership is an annual fee divided into monthly membership payments, prepaid before the start of each session or due at the 1st of each month.

Membership is not a “per class” or "per lesson" fee.

Private lessons are year-round and membership is based on 44 lessons per year (some teachers may have a different schedule).

Collective Harmony choir and voice class programs are 9 month programs plus an optional summer session.

Mozarts piano class programs are 10 months programs and an optional summer session.

New students will save a credit card on file for auto-pay. We are moving toward a convenient autopay system for all students.

Credit Card payments are made via your lesson account. We encourage returning students to set up autopay through your account. Invoices can be paid in cash, check, or credit card.

Materials/music books are additional.

There is a $30 late fee for payments not received by (or autopay issues not resolved by) the 10th of the month.  If a situation occurs and you need to pay late please contact us at your earliest convenience.

Membership that is 30 days past due will be charged an additional late fee per month.

We cannot continue to teach lessons when an account is past-due.

If you find yourself in financial need, please reach out to let us know.  In some cases, financial assistance may be available.

Financial assistance from other sources must be confirmed two weeks in advance of the next billing statement/cycle in order for us to arrange the invoicing and receive payment in a timely manner.

Annual Membership Fee: A yearly fee (refer to the current tuition information for fee amount) will be processed upon your initial registration and on September 1st of each following school year. This fee will help to cover the membership services.

If a student discontinues from all programs at the studio, the process to return, if there is an opening, is to re-register; which includes a $30 scheduling surcharge.

Absences
When you need to miss, please contact us as soon as you know.  484.938.TUNE (8863)

In the case of inclement weather for in-person lessons, lessons continue online. Credit will not be given if student wishes to take the day off.

There are no refunds or credits for missed lessons due to student absence.

If you need to take a long-term leave from lessons we cannot hold your spot as there are other students on a waiting list for lessons.

Private Lesson make-up lessons for student absences are not guaranteed and should never be expected. Makeup lessons for student absence are at the discretion of the teacher. If you are given makeup credit for a lesson, the studio reserves the right to expire the makeup credit if it is not used in a timely manner.

There are no refunds or monetary credits for missed classes or lessons due to student absence.

For choirs, voice classes, and the Mozarts Piano Program, there are no make-ups, refunds, or credits for student absences.

There are no make-ups for make-ups. If you are scheduled for a make-up lesson that you do not attend for any reason, there will not be another scheduled.

If you are granted a makeup credit, it cannot be used in lieu of a regularly scheduled lesson.

Teacher Absence for private lessons:
There are two teacher absences built into your annual lesson schedule. We strive to provide consistency in lesson timing to our students; therefore, if your usual teacher is unavailable for future lessons we work to schedule you with another one of our highly qualified educators as your substitute for the day. We believe that this is a benefit; both for maintaining consistency in lesson timing as well as giving students exposure to different teachers and their methods.

Materials for Lessons
Regular practice is key to student success.

For all lessons except voice, students are responsible for having their own instrument.  Let us know if you need recommendations about where to get your instrument.

Piano students will need a piano or 88 weighted-key keyboard at home.

All private lesson and piano class students are responsible for bringing their music each week.

String students should bring their instrument to each lesson.

Instructional Time
We value our time with you and look forward to seeing you each week!

Please be prompt. Your teacher will aim to start your lesson promptly at the agreed upon time.

You will receive 27-29 minutes of instructional time per 30 minute time slot.

If you are late, you will receive a short lesson with the time that remains in your lesson slot.

For in person lessons, the waiting room is available where you can wait for the teacher to greet you for your lesson.  Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby/waiting area during lessons.

During online lessons for older children, teens and adults, please be sure others are not present in the room, as that can be a distraction.

During online lessons for young children, one parent may wish to be present to facilitate and be a silent guide on the side.

Discontinuing Lessons
One month’s notice is required via our Studio Help Center for all programs or private lessons except summer programs and those with a specific end date, usually May or June. Many students continue with us for many years. But it is OK to discontinue lessons/programs for any reason when the time feels right for you to do so!

A minimum of one month’s notice is required via our studio help center if a student wishes to pause or stop lessons. The outstanding account balance is due one month before your final lesson/class. Note that this may differ from the usual 1st-of-the-month due date. You will receive your final invoice and a confirmation when the studio office has processed your withdrawal. To give your one month notice of discontinuation, visit the Studio Help Center.

Helpful Hints:
Your attitude is the biggest indicator of success. Everyone can learn to sing or play an instrument!

Enjoy the process and be prepared to practice at home! This is the number one way to hone your skills!

Your teacher may ask you to keep a written log of when you practice.

Singers, you may wish to bring bottled water to your lesson or class. There is also bottled water for sale at the studio.

You are encouraged to bring a tote bag, folder or binder for your materials.

For online lessons, be sure to have all materials on hand in advance, (including a second device for playing recorded music and accompaniments for voice students).
