As we begin the new school year, the District anticipates significant transportation concerns for our students. Similar to schools across the region and country, a shortage of drivers has impacted the District by having students walk further to school or to their bus stop, student time on buses will increase, and buses will be loaded to maximum capacities.
We already know that there are buses routes that do not have drivers for them. The District will need to create additional double and even triple runs for schools as well as implement shuttle runs into the system.
The District is asking once again this school year for parents to drive their children to school if they have the ability to do so. Please complete the following survey to indicate your choice. The default position for the District will be to schedule your child for a bus (if normally scheduled for transportation) if we do not hear from you.
