August 6th Auditions for Beauty and the Beast
Welcome to Beauty & The Beast, the classic fairy-tale that comes to life with music we all love to sing!
Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
With many fun supporting roles allowing students to play objects inside the castle, this "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities.
This upcoming year-long class (2021-22) is open to homeschool students even if you are not part of American Christian Academy, Sonoma Academy. Classes are on Fridays from 2-3:30. The performances will be Thursday, April 28, Friday evening, April 29, and April 30, Saturday matinee. For non-ACA families, it costs $550 to enroll per child, payable on the first day of class, September 10th. Also, please note that cast/crew parents are asked to do a production partner job that can be anything from taking tickets at the door to helping build sets.
Please check 1-3 choices for characters you would prefer to play to be part of the Cast. You will need to read lines, sing a few bars, and be ready for all kinds of fun! Auditions are at noon on August 6th at Immanuel Baptist Church.
