RSVP for Distinguished Woman in Science Event
WISAY is honored to be hosting Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein as our Distinguished Woman in Science award recipient for 2021. Dr. Prescod-Weinstein, a black theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, and feminist theorist. She is an advocate for increasing diversity within science, particularly through uplifting intersectionality and the celebration of underrepresented groups contributing to scientific knowledge.The event will be held on Tuesday, April 27th.

All are invited to her talk at 9:00 am, and we will also be hosting more personal informal discussions with Dr. Prescod-Weinstein. Let us know below which you plan on attending! Seminar attendees will be entered to win one of five copies of Dr. Prescod-Weinstein’s new book, “The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey Into Dark Matter, Spacetime, and Dreams Deferred”.
