The
Preparing for Baby psychoeducational counseling group is specifically designed for women in all stages of pregnancy. While pregnancy can certainly be one of the most exciting times in life, it can also be incredibly difficult, tiring, and anxiety provoking. Often, mental health challenges during pregnancy are unexpected, and left unvoiced due to internal and external expectations and pressure. This group creates a safe space for women to voice the reality - pregnancy can be
HARD!
During this 6-week intervention, pregnant women come together virtually to share their experiences and realize that many experiences, worries, fears, and challenges are universally experienced. Group members receive both professional and peer support in a safe and encouraging virtual environment. Additionally, the group will have a strong focus on effective practices for physically, mentally, and emotionally preparing for motherhood.
Each of the six, 60 minute sessions will have a structured theme and focus on evidence-based practices for improving maternal wellness. In addition to specific counseling interventions, the group holds space for pregnant mothers to share their experiences each week.

Who is eligible?
- Pregnant individuals who reside in Florida. All stages of pregnancy welcome.
What is required?
- A stable internet connection.
- For maximum benefit and group cohesion, consistent attendance during the 6-week group is encouraged
