Illinois Libraries Present Committee Application
Illinois Libraries Present is excited to be expanding our committees as we prepare to launch membership and a new model of sharing resources through collaborative programming. The following committees are now open:

MARKETING: The marketing committee will create and grow the brand identity for Illinois Libraries Present, including building library world and media relations to establish this new organization. They will create promotional plans and timelines, graphics, and collateral, work with marketing leads at member libraries, build social media engagement and more. They will tell ILP’s story through post-event and member reports as needed, via ILP’s website, and via the media. As ILP starts up, marketing committee members will have regular meetings with an estimated 4-6 hours of work monthly outside of meetings.

EVENT PRODUCTION: The event production committee will define and carry out best pre-production and production practices for each program put on by Illinois Libraries Present. They will provide technical support and guidance to presenters and hosts for each individual event. They are responsible for coordinating software tests and testing tech as well as recording, video post-production and distribution, when applicable. Event production committee members will have regular meetings, work outside of meetings, such as run-throughs and tech checks, and will need to be available to support evening events.

DATA/NUMBERS TEAM: The data team will collect and analyze data and statistics collected for each event and across all Illinois Libraries Present events. This will include working with the programming committee to create and implement post-event surveys, collecting and analyzing uniform information across events, and compiling reports for each event as well as quarterly reports for membership. Data/numbers committee members will have regular meetings with an estimated 2-4 hours of work monthly outside of meetings.

STEERING (Seeking additional members to broaden representation): The steering committee is responsible for the general administration of Illinois Libraries Present including finances, membership, member communication around governance, and other general administrative tasks. It, and all working committees, will be formed of members from all tiers of the group and include staff at all levels of the organizations. Steering committee members meet 2-3 times per month with an additional 4-6 hours of work monthly outside of meetings.

When membership launches, each committee member's library must have an active membership to the Illinois Libraries Present.
