Volunteer Information
  • Applications are rolling.
  • Accepted applicants will receive an invite to tour/interview.
  • Applications typically reviewed same week.
As a volunteer you'll:
  • Gain valuable teaching and leadership experience.
  • Develop skills related to tools, technology, and design.
  • Enjoy free access to our makerspace.
  • Become part of an inspiring community of makers.

Background knowledge or prior experience are a plus but not a requirement! Learning new equipment with us will be a part of your time spent volunteering.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals to assist with classes, answer questions, and help users make the most of our space. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Rules and Responsibilities
Rules
  • Must be 18 years or older (or have parental consent).
  • Must commit to a minimum of 3 months and at least 2-4 hours per week.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work with others.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks like tool maintenance and organization.
  • Answer basic user questions about tools and processes.
  • Help instruct workshops or provide guidance to members using equipment.
  • Uphold safety standards and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Complete training as required for specific tools or teaching roles.
