Chicago Tap Theatre Virtual Audition 2022-2023

Chicago Tap Theatre is seeking tap dancers of all backgrounds, ethnicities, body types, sexual orientations, and genders for the 2022-2023 season. Touring Apprentice & Apprentice positions currently available. CTT provides these positions with a monthly rehearsal stipend plus performance pay when applicable.

This year, we've opened submissions for a virtual pre-audition, allowing prospective dancers to receive direct feedback from Artistic Director, Mark Yonally, before making travel arrangements to Chicago for the in-person audition. 

Please note: An invitation to audition in-person based on video submission is not a guarantee of contract. 

Please fill out the following form and include youtube links to the video submission(s). Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes long and should include both choreography & improvisation. All submissions will recieve feedback by August 20th.

CTT has many connections to dance studios in the Chicagoland area that are currently looking for dance instructors. Regardless of your future status with CTT are you interested in hearing more about these positions? *

A contract with CTT runs from October 2022-June 2023. It includes 3 home season shows, various gigs, and rehearsals (listed below). 

Mondays, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Wednesdays, 2-7 PM
Sundays, 12-3 PM

I understand CTT's rehearsal schedule and will be able to attend all rehearsals if offered a contract.

Touring apprentices are paid a $200 monthly stipend plus performance pay when applicable. TA's will also tour with CTT pending the Artistic Director's approval
