To properly analyze a real estate deal, you must be able to accurately estimate what the project will sell or rent for after it is completed. Comparables, or "comps", are similar properties in the surrounding market area that can be used to develop and justify your estimate. How far should you look? What makes a property "similar"? What defines a market area boundary? Beth Beckett, President of Real Estate Strategies Inc, will join us on Wednesday to answer these questions and more. She'll discuss strategies for identifying and researching comps to help you realistically price your units and confidently present this information to lenders.
