ZOOM Training Sessions June/July 2020
This training session on how to use Zoom will be delivered by Cian Scott.
You can take it as many times as you like as it will be run several times over the coming weeks with the same content and format but a maximum of 50 people can take part.

In order to take part please register your interest below by email choosing a date and time.
The day before the training, Cian will send a link to the Zoom session by email.
You then click on the link, it may ask you to download or open Zoom so please do so.
You will be asked to wait to be admitted - use this time to test your computer audio.
Using Computer audio allows you can hear and see what is going on so it's important you are in a private space without interruption.
Some people prefer to use a headset but that is up to you and these are separate settings located in the Control Panel in your device rather than in Zoom.

Once you do this, Cian will get a message telling him you are there, he will admit you.
The Microphone and Video Camera is at the end of the screen on the left - you should open your video and mute your mike  as a courtesy to others on the call.  Your microphone will be muted as Cian is the host so you should be able to hear him. There is also a facility to share a screen so Cian will demonstrate on-screen during the session.

If you want to ask a question there is a button (reactions) at the bottom of the screen and it allows you to do a thumbs up or a wave - use the wave to indicate you want to ask a question.
You will also note that there is a chat button at the end of the screen, this prompts a box to open the right of the screen and you can type in questions for Cian as they arise during the session.

We hope this will encourage you to take part in the upcoming opportunities in DCU.
