Stockton Sail Camp is a joint effort of the Stockton Sailing Club, Richmond Yacht Club and Santa Cruz Yacht Club. The camp hosts 80 to 90 young sailors between the ages of 8 and 15 as well as a full staff of instructors, junior instructors and support staff.

Instructors and junior instructors are responsible for the campers for the majority of their day in on and off water sailing classes.

Counselors are responsible for the campers after the sailing day ends and until sailing begins the next morning.

Counselors Schedule:
Sunday, June 24
Arrive at the Stockton Sailing Club at noon for orientation and to setup your campsite.
Welcome your campers and assume responsibility for them at 3:00pm.

Monday - Friday
Counselors are off duty at 8:30am after delivering their campers to "flag pole".
Counselors will return at 2:45pm for a daily counselor meeting.
Assume responsibility for campers when they finish sailing for the day at about 3:00pm.

Saturday, June 30
Counselors are off duty at noon when parents arrive.
Counselors are welcome and encouraged to stay for the awards lunch on Saturday.

Counselor responsibilities:
Provide your own camping gear and camp with your camper group.
Engage with your campers and get to know them individually so you can spot fatigue, home sickness, etc...
Get your campers to scheduled events and meals on time.
Enforce all camp rules, communicate any issues with lead counselor and camp directors.
Organize and participate in camp activities like crafts, skits, games, etc...
Cleanliness of camp areas (including daily KP).
General health and well being of campers, including:
Hydration, hygiene, sunscreen, etc...
Basic first aid (counselors should manage ouchies, booboos, tummy aches, pouty faces and home sickness)
