Women's Month Festival 2023 - performance application
The Drama Factory and F Creations are proud to announce the second running of their Women’s Month Festival. The festival will be a hive of activity, including theatre shows, dance, comedy and live music – all of which will be presented by women and telling stories about women.

Dates for the festival: 7-20 August 2023

Venue for the festival: The Drama Factory
Asla Business Park, Strand, Western Cape

Requirements for productions:
• The production must be in development at the time of applying or already fully developed
• The bulk of the production team, including cast, must identify as female
• The production team must have the rights to perform the piece
• The production team must have their own funding for travel and accommodation if required
• Set and props should be easily unpacked and packed away to make room for other productions in the festival

Each production will receive:
• Four hours for get-in and tech rehearsal
• A tech operator for the rehearsal and performance
• 70/30 door split of the door takings for the performance*

Application fee:
There is an application fee of R100, which must be paid at the time of submitting the application form. No applications without this fee will be considered.

*We are hoping to get funding to pay each production a flat fee rather than rely on door takings. We will remain in talks with each production that is accepted as to the situation on funding.
