1. 12th grade students have the opportunity to select courses they are interested in taking for the year during every hour.
2. A student may only choose ONE study hall.
3. Some classes have a limited enrollment and students will be assigned on a first-come, first-served bases.
4. Classes without a minimum number of students signed up will not be offered.
5. Final printed schedules will be distributed at orientation.
6. This form MUST be submitted in order for a 12th grade student to attend classes.
7. This form should be submitted on or before Friday, July 10, 2020.

HONORS AND ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES: SCS offers honors and advanced placement courses in several academic areas. Courses are noted with the word "Honors" or "AP" in front of the course name. For a full explanation of the advantages of taking Honors and Advanced Placement courses, please refer to the academic page on the SCS website   (http://www.schaumburgchristian.com/academics). As a reminder, all regular high school courses are considered College Preparatory Courses. To qualify for an Honors or AP course, a student must have earned at least a "B" in both semesters of the same subject area (math, science, English) in the preceding year. The student must also have demonstrated a pattern of completing work on time with good quality.

DUAL CREDIT COURSES: Information regarding Dual Credits can be found on the academic page of the SCS website as well (http://www.schaumburgchristian.com/dual-credit-courses). Additional Dual Credit courses are available that are not listed on this elective form. FOREIGN LANGUAGE: Foreign language is not required for graduation, but SCS strongly recommends that each student complete at least two years of a foreign language before graduating.

Activity Period period is a study hall for students not in Art or not in another scheduled activity such as a fine arts group rehearsal. Activity period does not count as your one allowed study hall (i.e. you may select Activity Period and select one Study Hall during another class period).
