24th September, 2020: College Admissions and best practices
This session will lay out all the different attributes that Universities abroad consider during their admission process. We will talk about the holistic admission process, commonly followed by US universities which takes into account student’s academic achievements, SATs, essays (SOPs), Letter of recommendations, extra curricular achievements. We will also contrast this with admission policies in other parts of the world, where admission decisions are based only on academic achievements and standardized tests.
 
1st October, 2020: Skills for Tomorrow
Students today need to be equipped with form of knowledge and skillsets that equips them to navigate and succeed in this volatile and uncertain world. The session will highlight some of these skills which will be relevant in future jobs or workspaces along with few emerging career options. The discussion will reflect on how schools can enable their students to develop on some of these skills relevant for the future and how schools can prepare their students for a successful transition from high school to an Undergraduate program.

8th October, 2020: Demystifying SAT
There are a lot of myths and misconceptions around the SAT. At the same time, often students mistake the SAT to be like most other knowledge oriented tests that they take. The SAT is a test of college readiness, and thousands of universities rely on it to understand if students have the skills that are critical for success. These skills include Critical thinking, problem solving, communication and language skills, decision making. This session takes you to the root of what the SAT strives to test, its methodology and how it is different from other tests.
