Camp Newaygo Reference Form 2023
Camp Newaygo was founded in 1926 and still operates as an all girls’ overnight camp in order to address inequitable access to the outdoors for girls and women. Building upon that tradition, the camp aims to increase the diversity of all of its programs and participants. Camp Newaygo currently operates an all girls overnight camp, co-ed day camp, family programs, and community events. Camp Newaygo has shown that the summer camp experience increases resilience, independence, love of nature, and self confidence.
