Musically Fed is a 501(c)(3) that works with artists, promoters, management and venues nationwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry, and food insecure. Patchwork (a nonprofit that comes under the umbrella of Rethink) has agreed to support Musically Fed by providing weekly meals to Matthew 25 (625 Benton Ave, Nashville, TN 37204), Operation Stand Down (
1125 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203) and Safe Haven Family Shelter (1234 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37210).
We are seeking volunteers for the following:
• Fridays between 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, picking up 28 meals from Patchwork Nashville (Belmont United Methodist Church at 2007 Acklen
Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212) and delivering to Operation Stand Down or Safe Haven.
• Saturdays between 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, picking up 30 meals from Patchwork Nashville
(Belmont United Methodist Church at 2007 Acklen Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212) and delivering to Matthew 25.
All positions and shifts are unpaid volunteer-based. The list of available dates below will be updated as slots are filled. Keep checking back as we'll add more dates as they come open!
QUALIFICATIONS:
> Practice discretion and withhold judgement from recipients
> Uphold a friendly and professional attitude
> Must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult guardian
> Must have an SUV, pick-up truck, or sedan with deep trunk space
