Parent involvement is key to the Eastern Mennonite School community! Please complete this form to let us know of your interests in serving the school community. This form is for parents with children in grades 6-12. EMES has a separate parent volunteer engagement effort.

General Support

Usher for school events in the auditorium

Photography (indicate interest for possible contact when a school photographer is not available)

Front Office substitute (on call volunteer for short periods or for pay for half to full days)

Distributes posters to area businesses and churches

Distribute fliers to parents at drop off during Great Community Give

Join fundraising task force to offer support for special initiatives

Dining Hall Options: Paid position to fill in for staff who call out sick. Volunteers to occasionally help with banquets (a revenue generating program of the school).

Substitute staff (for pay)

Volunteer assistance with banquets and events (set up, serving, kitchen, etc.)

Fan the Flame Online Auction (Sept 20-25)

Join existing planning committee

Request 2-5 donations from businesses and individuals

Donate an item or gift to benefit the auction project

Distribute publicity materials

Homecoming (October 20th and 21st) Activity Support

Decorate upper building exterior entrances in early October (budget provided)

Set up and/or tear down and serve at the picnic, Friday, October 20th

Set up and/or tear down and serve at the homecoming breakfast, Saturday, October 21st

Christmas Season

Bake cookies for students during fund drive letter writing sessions

Decorate the auditorium foyer, front office, and entry in the upper building (materials supplied)

Stuff and stamp envelopes for Christmas Fund Drive

Write thank you postcards or make thank you calls to supporters

Spring Golf Tournament, May 3, 2024

Join planning team

Set up at Heritage Oaks early for event (work with staff and planning team)

Volunteer a two-hour shift during the tournament

Clean up at Heritage Oaks late afternoon for event (collect signs, work with staff)

Clear selection

Maintenance Support

Willing to adopt a flower bed; help with landscaping

General handy person skills for special projects

Theater Department [Skilled and unskilled volunteers needed]

Set construction

Costuming and props (gathering items and/or sewing)

Box office sales (during events)

Food for cast and crew

Invite sponsors to help support our productions

EMS Athletics Booster Club

Join the Booster planning team
