Dry Island is an apparel brand, designed in-house and inspired by the traditional rarity of Ocean City, NJ. Located on Asbury Avenue, its storefront also serves as a physical portfolio, showcasing the graphic design, branding, and product development services its studio offers to small businesses.
Since Dry Island's opening in Summer of 2019, the following two years of growth have made clear that building out a team is the next viable step in ensuring that demand is met on all fronts: store operations, creative, and production.
Position: Assistant Manager - 1119a Asbury Avenue Store
Importance: A reliable, positive attitude responsible for carrying out Dry Island's daily retail store operations.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age.

Duties:
Store Opening / Closing Procedures: Locking and unlocking doors, climate adjustment, cash drawer and register reports, lights and rolling rack
Customer Engagement: Offering visitors generous support, including but not limited to finding a size, information on a product, a backstory on a graphic, and friendly conversation
Point of Sale: Sales, exchanges, returns, loyalty sign-ups and redemption, holds, backorders, transfers
Merchandising: Tagging, folding, hanging and organizing product by size, collection and visual appeal
Inventory: Tracking, stock replenishment, forecasting, back-stocking
Quality Control: Assessing the quality (seam, decoration, and color consistency) of every unit before before placing it for sale, and again before it leaves the store
Fitting Room: Customer assistance
Cleaning: COVID-19 precautionary, point of sale screens, vacuuming, door and windows, shelf dusting, product lint rolling, and bathroom
Phone: Answering questions about store hours, exchanges, store location, and new product
Projects: Effectively communicating the design and production services of the studio, capturing new client leads, and facilitating client product pick-ups
