Song and Drum Workshop

The Heard Museum Master Artist Workshop series offers novice artists access to mentorship with a master-level artist. The in-person workshop will be instructed by reigning Adult Hoop Dance Champion, Sampson Sixkiller-Sinquah. In this workshop participants will construct a hand drum and drum stick. The history of drums and the songs associated harvesting storytelling will be taught. 

Meals will be provided (small breakfast and lunch). Class size is limited and open to all ages. Students must be able to attend all class sessions. Families will have preference. Native preference.
