Play at Work: Research
Hi! My name is Arianna Power and I'm an independent Learning & Development professional doing research for the DBC module (research project) for my CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development Diploma.

One of my focus areas in my work is bringing play into the workplace for improved creativity, wellbeing, and team-building. My personal working definition of 'play': "Any activity done primarily for its own sake (for fun, entertainment or recreation) rather than a serious or practical purpose"

I'm doing some research to help focus my efforts in bringing 'Play at Work' to life.

I welcome responses to this survey from anyone working within HR, L&D, Internal Communications, and anyone else who may be responsible for or have an impact upon procuring wellbeing and development programmes into their organisation (eg, in charge of Innovation, Wellbeing, or similar programmes within your organisation).

This survey should take about 5 minutes and I'd be very grateful for your help in my research!

Responses are anonymous and confidential, I'm NOT collecting names or e-mail addresses. I'd appreciate it if you can also share it with anyone you think may have insight into the topic.

Do you think your organisation would benefit from bringing a play programme into the workplace? *
If you DON'T think your organisation would benefit from bringing a play programme into the workplace, can you please explain why not?
Given the 3 primary benefits of play in an organisational context (improved creativity, improved personal wellbeing at work, and improved team building), what would be the most useful METRIC for you to internally assess the success of having implemented a Play at Work programme within your own organisation?
If you WERE to want to bring play into your workplace, what materials or information would you need in order to prepare you to sell it in to the decision making stakeholder(s) (whether that's you or other(s))?
Do you have any further thoughts or comments on bringing play into your organisation, or the workplace in general?
