SALT Member Position Description
SALT Member
Phase 2 is our SALT Program for Spiritually mature students 16 or older.
"SALT" stands for Service And Leadership Training.
SALT Members will earn 80 hours of Community Service Hours for each week they serve. Our mission for the SALT Program is to train and equip students to be spiritual leaders. We give students the opportunity to exercise their training by allowing them to help the Counselor lead their cabins and learn how to work with campers. SALT members will also be given opportunities each day to lead in areas such as our Team Building Low-Ropes Course, Archery, Canoeing, and a variety of games, and activities alongside our Program Director. When serving at camp we will have daily Bible studies on spiritual leadership curriculum.
The SALT Program is open to Spiritually mature Christian high-school students who have completed 11th or 12th grade. (Students who have completed 10th grade will be considered if we do not have enough 11th & 12th graders.) Everyone who is accepted will attend our Staff Training Camp. Then
SALT members will be selected to serve for one (1), two (2), or more 1-week camp sessions depending on opportunities. Campers arrive on Sundays and will leave on Friday mornings. We will first seek to fill positions from past qualifying TEAM Members. After this, we will then review applications and invite qualified students to join this program.

These are NOT paid positions but the rewards are endless!
SALT Members will earn Community Service Hours for the time they serve.
80 hours of community service per week. (Great for Beta Club and college applications and scholarships!).
