Dance Matters: Body and Community
April 29-May 1, 2022

Call for Presenter Proposals
SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 21, 2021

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Events will take place at the OSU Dept. of Dance Studios and Barnett Theatre, Sullivant Hall, 1813 North High St. Columbus OH 43210.
The theme of the conference is Body and Community. A sense of community unites us. It can give us opportunities to connect with people, and be part of something greater than ourselves. There is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. The theme also addresses the work that dance artists and educators do to reach out to the communities they live, learn, work, play in, and beyond.

This is a call for proposals for sessions and presentations
Dance teachers in all disciplines and from all venues are eligible to submit proposals to conduct sessions and presentations (classes, panels, and workshops, etc.). We encourage proposals relevant to the dance matters theme.

Studio space will be available, as will pianos and sound systems which play CDs or can connect via AUX to phones. Please bring all necessary phone hookups, dongles and converters. All studios have marley and sprung floors. In 2022 we are planning an in-person Festival, if due to Covid we are virtual or hybrid, accommodations will need to be made.

We encourage all teachers at the festival to become members of OhioDance.
