Hispanic Outreach and Leadership and Leadership Achievement (HOLA) - HOLA provides student support services and cultural awareness programs to Hispanic and Latinx students, which strengthen the collegiate experience of a diverse body of campus constituents and community partners. Our overarching goal is to increase the strategic support that we provide to Hispanic and Latinx students for the purpose of positively impacting their retention, progression, and graduation rates.

Minority Advisement Program (MAP) - MAP is a peer mentoring program that helps first-year and transfer students transition into Georgia Southern University. MAP matches freshmen and transfer students (MAPees) with upperclassmen (MAP Sponsors) to assist with their acclimation to college life and Georgia Southern University. MAPees join a small group led by a competitively-selected and trained MAP Sponsor. The Sponsor serves as a mentor and a friend, guiding participants by making them aware of campus resources and opportunities, encouraging academic success, arranging social gatherings, and more. MAP relationships enhance the Georgia Southern experience and deepen the commitment to scholarship and success. MAP Sponsors and mentees are matched according to academic major, interests, and other combinations of strengths and areas of improvement. MAPees with undecided majors work with MAP Sponsors who help them explore their academic and career options.

Men of Vision and Excellence (MOVE) - MOVE is an African-American Male Initiative (AAMI) supported by the University System of Georgia that provides a multifaceted support system for African-American males at Georgia Southern University. The goal of M.O.V.E. is to enhance retention, progression, and graduation (RPG) by creating a culture of academic support and success throughout students’ matriculation. This is achieved through programming elements that include, but are not limited to, College Success 101 sessions, Academic Enhancement Activities, and academic support through mentor/mentee pairings, study halls, social activities, team-building activities, and much more. MOVE is also a sincere brotherhood to students who join and engage. It is a community of diverse students who share the African American male identity and experience.

Sisters With Purpose (SWP) - SWP is a mentoring and student success program that focuses on providing co-curricular support to African-American women students. The goal of SWP is to enhance retention, progression, and graduation (RPG) by creating a culture of academic achievement and success throughout students’ matriculation. This is achieved through programming, mentoring, and other initiatives that support healthy identity development, academic and social support, and professional and personal development.
