Evaluating Effectiveness of Hawaii's Pelagic Small-boat Fisheries  Comments
The Council is currently looking at options for mandatory permitting and reporting in the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone around Hawaii.  The Council is also evaluating the effectiveness of its current fishery regime in the same area, including the Main Hawaiian Island Longline Prohibited Area which constitutes an area of about 75 miles around the islands.
