Girls Rock! DC’s Summer Camp is a week-long online music education program for young folks ages 8 to 18 in the DC area. We’re holding TWO sessions of Summer Camp this year: July 12-17 and August 9-14. Camp is 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and 10am-1pm on Saturday. VOLUNTEER ROLES:
Volunteers lead Summer Camp and help our campers have an amazing time. We have five different roles that volunteers can play at camp. Volunteers may play more than role, depending on the availability needs. You'll have a chance to apply for each of the roles that you're interested in. All volunteers are offered a monetary gift to thank them for their time.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING:
Summer Camp is all online and you'll receive training on how to use online tools and how to work with campers in a virtual space. Volunteers will join a private slack for camp and will receiver support from the Girls Rock! DC team throughout the program.

If you are volunteering with Girls Rock! DC for the first time, we will require a phone interview. Returning volunteers will also have a phone check-in. As camp supports minors, volunteer training and a background check are required for ALL volunteers.
