The Westfall PTO invites you to join a PTO committee for the 2020-2021 school year.  PTO is a great way to stay involved with the Westfall community and being part of a committee you will help your student’s school in so many ways.  The following committees are seeking additional members:

Membership: Organize the membership drive at the start of the school year, keep track of school participation in PTO and plan rewards for full class participation.

Hospitality:  Plan and organize events where parents and other visitors are welcomed to Westfall including our

Veteran’s day assembly, Pastries for Parent and CNP School Board meetings.  Also plan and organize teacher appreciation events throughout the year, ending with Teacher Appreciation Week.

Homeroom Parent: This committee organizes information and provides guidance for the Homeroom parents who will volunteer in the fall, once classes begin.  

Grants: Seek out and apply for grant opportunities to obtain funds for Westfall in any and all areas.

Friday Snacks: Plan, purchase and distribute Friday Snacks for the PTO scholarship fundraiser.
         Subcommittee – Popcorn: Once a month popcorn is made and sold for the Friday snack, we have 2 popcorn
         machines and need a minimum of 4 people to make, bag and distribute popcorn.

Volunteers: Organize volunteer information and contact parents requesting volunteer time for specific events.

Fundraiser: Plan, organize and execute PTO’s fundraisers which contribute to our annual budget.  If you are interested in joining this committee please consider attending a meeting before the end of this school year – we are discussing changes to our fundraising activities for next year already.
Glow Dance: Plan and organize our Annual Glow Dance Fundraiser.

Box Tops: Plan and organize Box Tops drives, including counting collected Box Tops.

Playground: Collaborate with school administration on the ongoing need for playground maintenance and updating.

Flowerbeds: Assist with taking care of Westfall’s flower beds by organizing volunteers for working and obtaining donations when needed.

Scholarship: Inform graduating Westfall Alumni of our scholarship opportunity, review applications and select winners for the 2 $500 awards.

Historian: Document school events for the newsletter and yearbook with pictures.
