Mentor Application, CUNY CCL Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force Mentoring Initiative, 2023-2024
The Council of Chief Librarians Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force Mentoring Initiative aims to support CUNY full-time and part-time library faculty and professional (HEO line) staff in historically under-represented groups with mentoring toward library leadership roles at and beyond CUNY or for research and scholarship during our 2023-2024 mentoring initiative.

Applications are due Sunday, October 22.

Chief Librarians and CUNY senior library faculty with expertise in a range of leadership areas, research, or scholarship are invited to apply to serve as mentors.

Mentors commit to:  Attend the required orientation session on Friday 11/3 @ 10am (via Zoom); Be available for at least 8 meetings with mentees during November 2023-June 2024 and submit an end of semester reflection; Commit to confidentiality in the mentor-mentee relationship; Prepare for the mentoring meetings by reading the resources; Notify the CCL DEI Task Force of any concerns encountered with meeting or communicating with the mentee *
