Requirements for NJHS
Thank you for your interest in wanting to apply for NJHS! Please read the requirements below that you should uphold if you do get accepted into this club!
  • You must maintain a 3.5 GPA for each grading period
  • You must complete 24 service hours for the whole year (preferably split it up into 8 hours per quarter)
  • You must attend at least 75% of the meetings
  • You CANNOT get any office referrals while being in NJHS
  • You will be looked upon as a student leader by UMS staff and students
  • You will help with all service projects that you can attend throughout the year.
If these requirements are not met throughout the year, you will get a warning that you are not upholding NJHS standards. If you still continue to not uphold these standards AFTER the warning, you will be pulled from the NJHS club.

Scholarship: To be apart of this elite group, you must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above. What was your cumulative GPA for the 2022-2023 school year? (Check Skyward)
Leadership:  List any elected or appointed leadership positions you have held at school or in your community.
Service: List any school or community based service activities you have participated in over the past year.
Character: List any awards, honors, or recognition you have received at school or in the community during the past year that show you are a person of good character.
Citizenship: By typing your name below, you are attesting to not receive any office referrals while being in NJHS and being a good and respectful student.
Motivation: Please write a short paragraph explaining why you would like to be a part of NJHS.
Please provide the name of TWO Union Middle School TEACHERS of who would recommend you to be in NJHS. Please talk to them and list their names here.
