The Idaho Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring an illustrated poem contest for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.  Entries will be accepted in English, Spanish, and Shoshone. 

Guidelines:
Ages: k-12th grade
Theme: "Batteries: Get A Charge Out of Chemistry"
Submission Deadline:   Friday April 19 at 5:00 PM. Please bring poems to Pocatello City Hall, 911 N. 7th Ave., and drop them off in the lobby in a box clearly labelled “Illustrated Poetry Contest.”
Winners: Winners of the Idaho Local Section’s Illustrated Poem Contest will advance to the National Illustrated Poem Contest for a chance to be featured on the ACS website and to win prizes!

Categories and Prizes for the Local contest:
4th-6th Grade: $30, $20, $10 prizes
7th-8th Grade: $30, $20, $10 prizes
9th-12th Grade: $30, $20, $10 prizes
Adult: $30, $20, $10 prizes
People's Choice Award: $50
