[Due Friday, January 10, 2020]
Hello! Thank you for your interest in applying to the USAC General Representative 1 Office for the 2019-2020 academic school year. We look forward to hearing about what keeps you grounded, some of your passions, and what it means to be a student organizer/activist.
The General Representative Office is meant to be the voice for students and to present any issues that students and student organizations may have to Council. We also put on programming that is accessible for all students and will benefit campus climate as a whole.

The General Representative 1 Office will have weekly staff meetings, as well as collective meetings that coordinators for those positions feel are necessary to have. Weekly staff meetings are required for all staff members, and will be something that we keep into account as the year goes on.
There are multiple staff positions that can be applied to. Click this link in order to see the different positions available:

Through this office, we will be working on a few platforms for the upcoming year. This will not be all the work that we will be doing, but instead some general tasks and goals for the office for the year. These platforms are:
1. Working with the Center for Accessible Education to advocate for more one-on-one support with students that utilize their services
2. Advocating for CAPS to better support marginalized communities through implementing more sensitivity trainings.
3. Raising funds in order to help supplement costs for cultural events on campus
4. Advocating for study list charges to be waived in order to be made more accessible for low-income students.
