ALASC Social Media and Events Assistant Opening
Now recruiting for Two Social Media Assistants and one Events Assistant with the American Library Association Student Chapter (ALASC) at SJSU’s School of Information.

This is a great opportunity to gain leadership experience, work on your communication skills, and make a real difference at the iSchool and in the field of information science. You will join a passionate group of fellow students who are determined to affect positive change and create a wonderful environment of learning and growth at our school.

 Social Media Assistants

-Assists Social Media Manager in promoting events & other ALASC activities
-Creates social media graphics
-Brainstorm, research and pitch ideas for new content
-Oversees one or more platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkIn, YouTube, Goodreads
 
Event Assistant

-Assists Event Coordinators
-Attends and provides Zoom support during virtual events
-Participates in event marketing and outreach
-Assists in creating slides and graphics
-Helps lead/co-lead at least one event during the academic year
