This week we will hear the Passion of the Lord according to Mark.  This is a very long Gospel, and therefore a very long video.  If you have already attended mass (either in person or virtually, feel free to skip the video this week and just discuss the Gospel based on the mass).
What does it mean to have the Institution of the Eucharist?  (This is when Jesus started the Eucharist at the Last Supper by taking both bread and wine and blessed it, sharing it with his Apostles, in a way similar to the way we hear the priest consecrate the bread and wine during the Eucharistic prayers in today's mass.) *
Who were the two Apostles that betrayed and denied Jesus? (Judas betrayed Jesus when he was praying in Gethsemane and Peter denied him three times when asked if he was with Jesus.) *
Why was it so important that the Apostles stay awake?  What does this mean today?  (We are always to be "awake" and ready for the return of Jesus). *
Why do you think Jesus prays for God's will to be done in the Garden of Gethsemane?  Why do you think Jesus doesn't save himself when he is on the cross?  (It was required for Jesus to die on the cross so that he was able to rise from the dead to save us, therefore, if he would have asked his Father for saving prior to his death, or saved himself when he was on the cross, what was prophesized about Jesus being the Savior would not have come to pass.) *
