SCARLET 2024
The Students Careers in Agricultural Research, Learning, and Extension Training (SCARLET) is a federally funded internship opportunity for undergraduate students (sophomore, junior, and senior). SCARLET is an 8-week program that includes training with a mentor in a 1:1 setting. You will be able to expand your skills while learning side by side each mentor's team. SCARLET also offers a series of workshops and seminars to help you improve your resume and to help you expand your career options. The SCARLET team of mentors will select 10 participants for 2024.

What financial support is included for interns?
1. Lodging
2. Flights (or mileage) to and from the internship location
3. Stipend of $4,800

What do you need to apply?
1. Your GPA
2. A CV/Resume in PDF format
3. A 500-word (max) statement of interest detailing your interest in participating in SCARLET, your career goals, and why you want to work with the specific mentors. PDF format required.
4. A short video or presentation (see application form for details). 


What is the process?
1. Read & learn about Our Mentors & Our Locations below
3. Fill out your application form HERE
5.Your application will be sent to the mentors you selected and you will be matched.
6. You will receive an acceptance email.
7. You will be required to fill out some forms to coordinate travel & begin employment.
8. Program Starts approximately the last week of May-June 1, depending on your PI mentor.
