About CIG:
The Canadian Improv Games (CIG) is a national charity organization that brings improvisational theatre programs to high schools across Canada through unique curriculum and events that includes 14 regional tournaments, a National Festival at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre as well as two youth summer camps (one in British Columbia and the other in Quebec).  Dedicated to empowering youth, CIG’s programs are formatted to build and promote invaluable skills including Positivity, Communication, Leadership, Commitment and Teamwork.  

About the position:
We are currently seeking a highly-organized, passionate, goal-oriented Operations Manager to join our team.
Candidates should have at least 2 years experience in administration, marketing and/ or communications and possess technical experience with Wordpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Facebook Events, Eventbrite, Microsoft Excel and Google Drive. This is a fast-paced, highly deadline-driven role that requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional writing skills and experience managing and rallying people around immoveable deadlines. Improv theatre training an asset.

This position will require management of various competing projects and tasks from start to completion, which include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:
- Managing all internal and external communications and administrative duties related to CIG’s annual programs ensuring deadlines and goals are being met
- Updating program and training brochures, packages, internal databases, Google Forms, weblinks and other CIG documents as related to program updates
- Managing each program registration process for all provincially based and national programs from start to completion
- Acting as the primary point person for all program-related correspondence with schools, parents, contractors, partners and staff
- Overseeing the CIG national volunteer program throughout the year
- Managing the collection and disseminations of marketing collateral
- Assisting with fundraising goals by helping to create donor and marketing campaigns
- Contributing to grant and sponsorship proposals
- Working on-site at various events throughout the year to run improv programs (travel required)

Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in administration, marketing and/ or communications
- Intermediate technical skills with Wordpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Facebook Events, Eventbrite, Microsoft - Excel and Google Drive
- Highly motivated self-starter, result-oriented
- Deadline-driven and enjoys fast-paced work environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being a dedicated and enthusiastic team player
- Intermediate abilities in improv training an asset
- Post-secondary education or certification in communications or arts administration an asset

Start date:  July 2, 2019 – June 30, 2020
Salary:  $32,000
Type: full-time employment (home-office based), one-year contract
