The Kiwanis Club of Point Pleasant is looking to start a local chapter of Kiwanis Kids, or K-Kids. The program is a community service and leadership development program for elementary-aged children.
It would be overseen by background-checked members of our Kiwanis club, along with local parents. You'd need to accompany your child to meetings every other month. Our Kiwanis club would pay the fees, so there is no charge--but we do ask for a commitment of one year to start, meaning that you try to make most meetings and events. The children will be able to establish the projects they want to participate in, and contribute to Kiwanis' existing projects. K-Kids is open to people from any town; we will meet in Pt. Pleasant and do local projects.
