Pop-Up Adventure Play in partnership with Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest’s "Children at Play Network" is delighted to announce this virtual play sharing experience. Play is too important to fully let Covid squash our plans, so this virtual gathering of play champions is our next best option while we wait for the world to shift toward face-to-face gatherings.

Our speakers will be:
1) Melissa and Claude of Children at Play Network, USA
2) Jill Wood of Bayou City Play and Adventure Play at The Parish School, USA
3) Morgan and Suzanna of Pop-Up Adventure Play, USA and UK
4) David Reeks and Renata Meirelles of The Territory of Play, Brazil

There are THREE parts to this virtual Campference:

1) GATHER - We know that community is important but in the absence of international traveling options, we're encouraging play advocates to gather locally in the name of the Playwork Virtual Campference 2021. This will provide you with an opportunity to connect, conspire and come up with topics for discussion at the main virtual Campference. This means, once you register with us to be part of Campference 2021, we will connect you with folks who are local to you, and you can either meet virtually to say hello or have a socially-distanced in-person meet if it is safe to do so.

2) PRE-CAMPFERENCE ONLINE GET TOGETHER - Pop-Ups Morgan and Zan will host a short get together that will include a short introduction to playwork as well as provide an opportunity for play advocates to gather "internationally" ahead of time. This will be on 19th September 2021 at 12noon EST.

3) THE BIG EVENT - On 24th September 2021, we will create the space for all Virtual Campference 2021 registrants together in one big zoom event. It will start at 12noon EST and will be 2 hour event involving short presentations from playworkers as well as breakout rooms for in-depth discussions. Spaces will be limited for this event so register as soon as you can.

***We are thrilled to announce that parts 2 and 3 will be simultaneously translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic.***

THAT'S NOT ALL - We also aim to work with each breakout room to gather again before Campference 2022.

[Please note: if the time difference does not work for you in your country, you will be able to access recorded sections of the Virtual Campference at a reduced rate. Breakout room discussions will not be recorded.]

Cost: $25 - $50 USD per person ($10 reduced rate for those accessing the recorded event)
