Clean Ocean Action (COA) Volunteer Form- Community Science
Community science is collaborative scientific work conducted by members of the general public, professionals and amateurs alike, under the direction of professional scientists or scientific institutions. Community science is essential to Clean Ocean Action's mission to improve water quality off of the NY/NJ coast. Clean Ocean Action's community science opportunities include water quality monitoring and litter removal and documentation projects. Community science may include bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), reaching, or navigating rough terrain, possibly in adverse weather conditions.
