BD Fur Rescue: Adoption/Expression of interest
BD Fur-Rescue is not a shelter and therefore has no specific location for you to visit. To adopt one of our beautiful feline souls, the first step is to submit an adoption application expressing your interest.
Rescue cats and kittens are amazing companion animals. Our adoption process is aimed at ensuring you and your new fury friend will have a great long lasting relationship.
Following the submission of your expression of interest, BD Fur- Rescue can then make a balanced judgement to see if there is a potential ‘match’ with one of our fostered felines. There are no right or wrong answers, these questions are purely aimed at assisting us find the perfect companion for you and fur-ever home for our fosters.
If there is a potential good match, a foster carer will contact you to arrange a meet and greet. This is an opportunity for you to come and meet your potential new furry friend. This also enables you to chat to the current carer about the cat/kitten, their needs and their personality.
If all goes well and we feel it is a good match we will arrange pick up after all necessary vet work has been completed as well as provide you with detailed paperwork and advice to set you up for success with your new feline friend.
As you can understand it is very important that we go to these lengths as we are putting the best interests of our cats/kittens first. It can be very unsettling and not in the best interest of cats/kittens to be adopted and returned if things don’t work out.
BD Fur Rescue reserves the right not to provide reasons for not proceeding with any expression of interest or application.
Please be aware that this line of work is volunteer based and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner to keep the adoption process moving forward as quick and smoothly as possible.
