Luke 18 High School Application 2024
Dear Potential Luke 18 High School Team Leader,

Very excited, and Loud, 8th Graders will join us for a weekend that could change their lives. We are inviting you to come and participate in this year's LUKE 18 here at SFA. To make this weekend possible, we need a committed and faithful team of High school leaders that are willing to be a successful witness of Christ's Love for these Lukers. We are looking for willing and committed teens who want to help bring Christ into the lives our our 8th graders here at SFA. I'm seeking teens who are going to be authentic about their struggles in life, faith, etc. and continue to strive after virtue. I'm asking each of you to live out what you say/share/ teach the 8th graders. BE GENUINE.

Your participation requires a commitment on several levels. For any Luke 18 to be successful, High school team members must commit to:
- Weekly Mass attendance (Please note Prep meetings start at 11 so we can attend Mass together)
- The success and vision of the Luke 18 experience. Each person must be willing to open themselves to God so that He can work through them to be a witness to the 8th Graders.
-Attendance and full participation in the Luke 18 Planning meetings. It is crucial you schedule accordingly to ensure you are present for each of our planning meetings.
- Being a Role Model/ Leader in words actions and faith life. The 8th Graders make a real connection with the high school leaders over the weekend. If we have any hope of turning the Luke 18 experience into a long term sustainable change, it is vital that the 8th graders can continue to call upon our team as their witnesses to faith in action.
-Social Media-- we all use technology to communicate. How are you presenting yourself on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, etc. (Bad language, pictures, and inappropriate behavior online will be taken into consideration when choosing those to be a part of the team.

We have 2 Teams of High school students during Luke 18
1. Disciple- "Disciples" play a huge role in running the retreat all weekend by giving talks, leading small groups, participating in skits, being a sleep house leader, and getting the 8th graders PUMPED up for Jesus.
2. Cori Team- "Corinthians" whose primary role is to serve the 8th graders all weekend though creating gifts, setting up all talk sessions, leading a drama skit, service project, organizing and constantly cleaning up

BOTH are wonderful and NECESSARY for the retreat to run smoothly.
