AMSA Mental Health: Humans Of Medicine 2020
Medical students experience an increased rate of burn out, anxiety and depression. We know that 30% of all medical students feel that the stigma surrounding mental illness would prevent them from seeking help if they needed it. This is not good enough.

For Mental Health Month (October 2020), AMSA Mental Health is running a social media campaign called 'Humans of Medicine'. This is an opportunity to ignite discussion amongst Australian medical students and instigate a change in our culture. We wish to share stories of human experience themed around mental health and medical students over the course of October.

Your contributions may be anonymous as we appreciate the bravery involved with sharing your experiences. For those of you who would like a little more structure, please consider your response to the following themes:

-The mental burden of being a doctor and being involved in traumatic experiences
-Accessing mental healthcare
-Stress management or self-care strategies
-Supporting friends and colleagues

Thank you for taking this opportunity to be apart of this initiative,
AMSA Mental Health Team
