PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT YOUR STUDENT'S REGISTRATION FOR BAND.  THIS FORM IS INTENDED FOR US TO GATHER INTEREST NUMBERS.  YOUR STUDENT CAN NOT PARTICIPATE IN BAND UNLESS A PARENT OR GUARDIAN HAS ATTENDED THE PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING.

WHO CAN JOIN BAND?

Band instrument instruction is offered to 4th and 5th grade students in good academic standing.

WHAT CAN I PLAY?

Instruction is offered in the following instruments:

    Flute   Clarinet    Saxophone  Trumpet          Trombone           Percussion

*Violin-Please note: Violin is not currently available in Middle School. If your student chooses violin, they will not be able to play it in middle school classes.


WHEN WILL BAND BEGIN?

Instruction will begin the week of Sept. 12th - 16th.

Weekly group lessons are provided once a week at each school.

All band classes are taking place during school.  Class schedules will be posted on parents square the second week of September.  Please keep your eyes out for that.

BAND PARENT INFORMATION NIGHTS (MANDATORY):

SUNDANCE, STARLIGHT, THREE RINGS RANCH, ANNA HAUSE, and PALM STUDENTS
Mrs. Cox will be your director. She will be hosting two opportunities to meet. She will be hosting an information night and rental night at The Starlight Elementary School Auditorium on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31st @ 6:30 PM. Some instruments will be available to pick up for rental that evening.

SUMMERWIND TRAILS, BROOKSIDE, and TOURNAMENT HILLS STUDENTS
Mr. Goodrum will be your director. He will be hosting two opportunities to meet. He will be hosting an information night and rental night at The Summerwind Trails School MPR on MONDAY, AUGUST 29th @ 6:00 PM. Some instruments will be available to pick up for rental that evening.

Mr. Goodrum and Mrs. Cox will also host an online parent informational meeting if you are unable to meet in person. Please come to listen to a short presentation about Band, and get all of your questions answered!  Registration is required

You are invited to a Zoom meeting.

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE EITHER MEETING, PLEASE NOTATE THAT BELOW.  YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WATCH A RECORDING OF THE ZOOM MEETING ON YOUR OWN TIME THAT WILL BE SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL.  YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE BAND REGISTRATION FORM WITHOUT HAVING WATCHED IT.  THE DEADLINE TO WATCH WILL BE SEPTEMBER 5TH.
