JA Worldwide in collaboration with partners is offering current and aspiring JA alumni leaders a fully paid scholarship to the JA Global Alumni Summit in Porto, Portugal. This includes: the ticket to the JA Global Alumni Summit from August 22โ25, ticket for the Alumni Leaders Academy on August 21, meals, accommodation, visa, and airfare.
๐ย Scholarship Application Criteria:
- Demonstrated Leadership: Applicants should have a track record of leadership within their local community, school, or workplace. This could include organizing events, leading teams, or initiating projects that have made a positive impact.
Commitment to JA Values: Applicants should align with JAโs values, including integrity, teamwork, innovation, and entrepreneurship. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to empowering young people and fostering economic success.
Interest in Global Engagement: Applicants should express a genuine interest in participating in global initiatives and engaging with diverse perspectives. They should be open-minded, culturally aware, and eager to collaborate with peers from different backgrounds.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for effective participation in the summit. Applicants should be able to articulate their ideas clearly, engage in meaningful dialogue, and contribute positively to group discussions and activities.
Financial Need: While financial need will not be the sole determining factor, preference may be given to applicants who require financial assistance to cover travel and visa expenses.
Scholarships are available to current and aspiring JA alumni leaders:ย
Current Alumni Leader: You are the current JA alumni leader (this means you are either the president or a board member of your JA alumni network) in your location.ย
Aspiring Alumni Leader: You want to establish a JA alumni network in your location or you would like to take on the role of a JA alumni leader (president or board member) in your location.ย
Alumni Leaders Academy Global: The first in-person Alumni Leaders Academy Global will take place on August 21 in Porto (read more here). Attendees will spend the day with global JA and INJAZ alumni leaders and take part in alumni learning experiences, personal growth opportunities, and more.
