Woodford County Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program
The Woodford County Farm Bureau established the Woodford County Farm Bureau Foundation in 1998. The WCFB Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation organized to promote agriculture in Woodford County. The foundation is funded through contributions by Farm Bureau members.
The Woodford County Farm Bureau Foundation recognizes the need for active, involved Agricultural Education Teachers and FFA Advisors in our schools. It is our goal to make Woodford County a Premier location in the state of Illinois for Agriculture Education. These teachers play a special role in exposing students to the diverse world of agriculture and cultivating those experiences into passions to pursue careers in this ever growing and important profession.
The Woodford County Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program was established to help support and retain new teachers in the classroom. Once eligible after three (3) consecutive years teaching in the county, teachers are invited to apply, or be nominated by their principals/superintendents for a two-thousand-dollar ($2,000) grant of personal income each year.
