I Understand that running/walking a road and trail combined course is potentially dangerous activity.  I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by and decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk.  I assume all risks associated with running or walking in this event, including but not limited to fall, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, traffic and the condition of the roads and trails.  Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Hillsville Elementary, HES PTSO, race officials, Volunteers and all sponsors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.  I give race officials permission to photograph and/or videotape me during the event, and use my pictures and/or video recording in future publications.  I have read the above release and understand that it presents a risk of physical injury, knowing this I am entering this event at my own risk.  I understand that this event will occur rain or shine, and that there will not be any refunds.
