Welcome to the "Lexington Shared Organics Recovered Together" (LexSORT) registration system.
Thank you for your interest in composting with the LexSORT Drop-Off Program, a program operated by the Town of Lexington.
Lexington residents who read the guidelines and register for this program will be able to drop off household food scraps and compostable kitchen waste at two locations in town for FREE.
To participate in LexSORT:
1. Review what items are accepted in LexSORT’s collection bins:
www.lexingtonma.gov/LexSORT(Even if you’re very familiar with how composting works in general, please review the list of Acceptable and Unacceptable items specific to the LexSORT program as our compost site requirements may change.)
2. Fill out and submit this online form.
3. Test your knowledge of what items our LexSORT collection bins accept below.
4. Review the results of your answers to the form questions and NOTE THE COMBINATION CODE (which is provided at the END OF YOUR FORM SUBMISSION RESULTS) to access our locked LexSORT collection bins.
5. Start composting!
