The Academy Dance Company Trainees are a performing dance company at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts

Any FWAFA student that will be in the 7th or 8th grade for the 2023–2024 school year is eligible to audition

This company is for advanced dancers who will perform choreography in a variety of styles.

Academy Dance Company Trainee Class Requirements
Dancers in Academy Dance Company Trainees will be placed in 2 back to back classes: Middle School Dance, immediately followed by the ADCT Rehearsal Class period.
I understand that if I am invited to join ADCT I will be placed in both Middle School Dance as well as the ADCT rehearsal class period. *
Required
This year, the ADCT auditions will take place on campus in studio A on April 12, 2023 from 4:00-6:00PM. The audition will consist of 2 phrases in contrasting styles. On April 12, students will report to studio A to sign in and receive their audition number and learn the audition sequences together. Students will perform each sequence in small groups.
Important Dates:
April 12 - 4-6PM - ADCT audition, FWAFA Studio A
May 5 - students will receive notification via email of their ADCT audition status
Fees Associated with ADC
Some performances and performance groups have an additional fee for participation and/or apparel purchases. Due dates for fee payments will be made in advance of each performance and will be communicated to each performer. Fee waivers are available for students that qualify. A student must have made payment in full, scheduled payment arrangements with the Business Office or submitted an Application for Fees Waiver prior to the fee due date.
