Be Body Positive Groups @ 3C Family Services
Thank you for your interest in the Be Body Positive Groups at 3C Family Services!

These groups provide a comfortable, non-judgmental space for individuals of all identities to explore their relationship with body image, food, and exercise.

About the Be Body Positive Groups:

These support groups are based on the Be Body Positive Model* which teaches five Competencies to help individuals develop resources and a renewed energy to take care of their body. Clinical studies show that this model increases self-compassion, reduces anxiety and depression, and fosters a positive relationship with one’s body image, food, and exercise.

The goals of these groups are to:

  • Promote resilience, empowerment, and body appreciation by teaching middle and high school aged individuals the practical skills needed to support themselves with self-compassion, an attuned relationship to the body, sustainable self-care behaviors, and positive connection with others.
  • Teach concepts and coping strategies that support individuals in facing adversity without internalizing the difficulties and traumas in their lives and experiencing self-loathing and conflicts with their bodies and self-care.

Next Steps:

1. You will be receiving an email which confirms your Interest Form entry, provides the Be Body Positive Intake Questionnaire, and details next steps.

2. Complete and Submit the Required Be Body Positive Social Skills Intake Questionnaire

All interested families are required to complete the Be Body Positive Intake Questionnaire. This questionnaire will be attached to your email confirming receipt of your Interest Form entry.

This completed Be Body Positive Intake Questionnaire is required in order to move forward with scheduling your Be Body Positive Intake Appointment. The Intake Questionnaire covers basic information that will serve to guide further interviewing. After completing the Questionnaire, families will submit this questionnaire to our office and then schedule their required 30-minute intake appointment.

3. Schedule and Complete the Required Be Body Positive Intake Appointment:

The group leader(s) would like to meet with you to discuss your child’s challenges, what you hope to get out of this group, and to make sure the group will be beneficial for your child. These intake appointments are used to determine group fit before enrollment. This intake appointment is required in order to enroll your child in one of our Be Body Positive group offerings. Note, if you are a current, active client at 3C Family Services, you may not be required to hold an Intake Appointment. The 30-minute intake appointment is $150.00.  The appointment can be held virtually or by phone if needed.

During the 30-minute intake appointment, the group leader will collect additional information about your child, their challenges, and your goals for the group. The group leader will be able to answer any questions you may have about our group offerings.

3. Finalize Enrollment:

During the intake appointment, your child’s group placement will be finalized. If you move forward with enrolling your child, you will complete all required enrollment paperwork at the intake appointment. Then, your child will be fully enrolled and ready to begin!

Thank you and take care,
