Working with the community at large, other committees, and in conjunction with the Management Team or their delegate to ensure that the Calgary Pride Parade is safe for both participants and spectators, and that authentic allyship of participants is considered prior to approval.
Volunteer Engagement (

The Volunteer Committee works to recruit and support the over 500 volunteers that fill approximately 5000 volunteer hours that are required to staff the main Festival weekend, and year round engagement of volunteers. They will support the organization and management of the volunteer orientation sessions, complete volunteer documentation, hours tracking, record keeping, and communications. They will also support the planning and organizing the volunteer appreciation event and donations.

The Community Engagement Committee is responsible for identifying opportunities for Calgary Pride to authentically engage within the community that are in alignment with the organization's Vision, Mission and Values.
Accessibility (

The Accessibility Committee works to ensure that the activities of Calgary Pride are inclusive and do not pose unavoidable barriers to any persons or groups. The Accessibility Committee takes an intersectional and holistic view of individuals and creates equitable space for everyone to celebrate the Gender and Sexually Diverse (GSD) community.
Arts & Entertainment (

This Committee is responsible to review all entertainment and artist submissions and provides short listed selections, intended to represent the diversity of the community and all artist mediums, including visual artists and writers. Assist Logistics Manager and Stage Managers in developing stage lists, collecting bios, coordinating contracts, and handling entertainment needs. Assist the Stage Manager(s) with day to day requirements during the Pride Festival. Research all queer artists in Canada.
Site Operations (

The Festival Operations Committee contributes to planning the layout of the Pride main weekend festival; assists the Committee Managers in securing equipment, supplies, and services as required to manage the logistics of the festival site and infrastructure. The Committee will liaise directly with other Teams to ensure their on-site logistical needs are met by the various approved suppliers. To this end, the Committee Members oversee the logistical setup for first aid stations, info booths, media booths, weekend volunteer headquarters, and others as required. Also supports the development and delivery of safety and risk mitigation.
